We often mistake 💧 THIRST 💧 for hunger.
Yup, food cravings are often a sign that you are dehydrated, especially during the hot summer months.
Our genes have been conditioned to crave carbohydrates when we aren’t getting water to drink because carbohydrates traditionally meant fruits & vegetables which contain water.
Hahaha! Not today, thanks to processed foods which have overtaken fruits & vegetables as our main source of carbohydrates.
Processed foods have the water removed to make them more shelf stable and that means they contain concentrated amounts of starch & sugar.
Far cry from the water your body is asking for.
So, drink water after and eat fruits and veggies in their whole form to stay hydrated.
