The Perfect Hard Boiled Egg is possible!
I’ve tried dozens of recipes or methods for making the perfect hard boiled egg over the years.
What qualifies the “Perfect Hard Boiled Egg?”
Peels perfectly leaving the egg white intact
Not over-cooking the yolk
Shell peels easily not requiring tweezers to get the teeny-tiny pieces
Makes pristine deviled eggs that don’t look like the Pennsylvania Turnpike after a snow storm covered in potholes.
I swore by the Stove Top Method for years and then decided to try use my beloved Instant Pot to see how it held up.
I have to say, I was impressed. It does require some babysitting to be sure you release the pressure at the right time. I would even start venting a little early as it takes over a minute to fully release.
Stove top or Instant Pot - room temperature eggs are key to prevent cracking during cooking.
